Northern Colorado

Music Therapist Community Gathering

Thank you for your RSVP: TUESDAY, April 16th

We are looking forward to having you join us for the next Northern Colorado Music Therapist Community Gathering on Tuesday, April 16th from 6:30-8:30pm.

Accessible Tech within Music Therapy

Jess Rushing, PhD, MT-BC will be discussing the use of technologies in music therapy services including practical applications of the Makey Makey in music making and other interesting and adaptable tech. No tech experience is required to benefit from this workshop and MTs from all service areas and setting are encouraged to participate. Jess is an assistant professor at Colorado State University and has worked clinically with all ages from premature infants to end-of-life with considerable experience in medical, private practice, and mental health. This workshop/gathering will include a presentation, practical examples and hands on experience, as well as networking, refreshments, and FREE CMTE credits.

The purpose of this event is to develop a stronger and more supportive community of music therapists by building camaraderie and shared learning. This is a quarterly series where local MTs can network, share their experiences, and contribute ideas of topics and speakers that are relevant and of interest to our MT community.

COVID related precautions: Masks are not required at this time, however, we do ask that participants be aware of the overall health of the group and not attend if you are experiencing symptoms of illness or recent exposure to COVID-19. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

Attendance is free and CMTE summary documentation (eligible for 2 hours credit or a portion as attended) will be provided via email following the event.

As refreshments and plans are being made, your RSVP is very appreciated but not required.

We just want you to come if able and enjoy the company and encouragement of fellow MTs in our area.
