ITNC is hosting our FIFTH Student Open House for all local music therapy students and interns. We’re excited to welcome you to our clinic for an engaging night of informal networking, shared learning, and community support. Featured at this event will be several workshops with PRACTICAL skills to choose from. There will also be a panel made up of ITNC music therapists where you will be able to ask any and all questions you might have. Don’t forget the photo booth, snacks, and giveaway!

Workshops

  • Workshops: Two workshop sessions will occur during the Open House. Students are asked to indicate which workshops they are interested in attending below. Please note that materials for ALL Topics will be available to all students, even though students will only attend two sessions.

    • Musical Development - Balancing Aesthetics and Functionality

    • Project Based Music Therapy - Incorporating Objectives into Creative Projects

    • Client Centered Skills - Verbal Skills, Rapport Building, & Group Facilitation

      Panel Discussion with Music Therapy professionals

  • MT Professional Panel: 

    We invite you to bring your questions for a panel made up of ITNC Music Therapists with a diverse set of backgrounds, internship, and experiences. Ask anything on your mind, whether it's specific to a certain aspect of music therapy, advice specific to a path you're pursuing in music therapy, or you're simply curious to hear from the panel what their day-to-day looks like.

    • Varied additional trainings, educational emphasis

    • Experience in supervision of music therapy students/internship

    • Differing Internship Placements: Hospital, Hospice, Private Practice, Senior Living Placements, and more

    • A wide range of experiences with varied populations including but not limited to: intersecting mental health needs within the developmental disabilities population, rehabilitation, hospital, end of life care, intellectual and developmental disabilities, Autism, Parkinson’s, and more. Experience in supervision of music therapy students
